Digital Systems Design Team Project

Introduction

For this project, we are to design a large 7-segment based display that shows the time (including seconds) using decade counter ICs. We first should design the circuit in Logisim and then design a PCB for the circuit using EasyEDA.

Our design should meet the following requirements:

• The clock must clock accurately once a second, to a reasonable degree of accuracy.
• The display must be large and legible from 100m away (optional)
• It should be able to operate from the mains.
• There must be a way to set the time.
• The clock should beep after every 15 minutes.
• We are also to design a 12hr clock for extra credit.
