This project introduces a cool digital clock made by combining different electronic parts. We use special circuits like the 74192-decade counters to keep time accurately, show the time on displays using the BCD-to-7-segment display (7447), and manage resources efficiently with multiplexers (74HC154). In addition to these main parts, the clock is smartly designed using logic gates like NAND, AND, and OR gates to perform important logic tasks. This makes the design simple and effective. To make sure the clock works well, we carefully tested it in a simulation for each segment of the clock including the hour, the minutes, and the seconds. This guarantees that the clock will function perfectly.
But this clock does more than just tell time. It has a special feature – a gentle beep every 15 minutes. We achieve this using the 74192-decade counters, and logic gates in a specific way. We also added LED to indicate the beep by lightening up in the absent of the beep. The clock follows a 24-hour format and has an easy-to-use interface. You can set the time easily using a button at the downside of our design, thanks to the multiplexers which made it possible. In simple terms, this digital clock shows how creative electronic design can be. It uses special circuits to create a smart and easy-to-use timekeeping device.
